For calculated columns, Cascade's expression language resembles Excel's, and should be familiar to most Excel users. SQL is an option for querying databases and custom Python may be used in workflows, but neither are required.

Yes. Cascade is a hosted solution, all data resides in the cloud and editing occurs entirely in the browser. There’s nothing to install and it works great in common browsers like Chrome and Safari.
